Our Favorite Things...
 Molcajete
El Molcajete
(The Mexican Blender):

What is a molcajete?  It is one of the world's oldest kitchen tools and still among the most useful, especially for making and serving Mexican dishes.

The word derives from Náhuatl, the language of the Aztecs.

Foods traditionally prepared in the molcajete include salsas, guacamole and mole (mole-lay) sauces.  It's perfect for grinding spices and chiles.  Each molcajete is unique and a beautiful display item for the kitchen.

If lined with lettuce leaves, the molcajete can double as a serving dish for salsas and dips.

"I love the molcajete because it reminds me of growing up and watching my mother make my favorite salsas."
